Numerical and physical models are effective design tools that, when used in the context of a total design effort, can provide realistic predictions of prototype conditions and future performance effects.

Hay & Company Consultants Inc. have developed a comprehensive capability in the numerical simulation and analysis of complex natural and artificial hydraulic phenomena. These phenomena include oceanographic circulation/tides/waves, coastal wave-tide interactions, coastal sediment transport processes, river hydraulics, riverine sediment transport, computational fluid dynamics of industrial processes. Numerical methods are often the preferred analysis technique because they may be applied to complex geometry, can accommodate a high degree of variability in the forcing terms and are considerably more economical than other modeling strategies. Hay & Company prides itself on the use of the most recent advances in computational software tools.
