Hay and Company Consultants is an industry leader in a wide range of advanced oceanographic and limnological techniques.  The firm combines expertise in fluid mechanics, field instrumentation and computer modelling to quantitatively measure, analyze and predict phenomena of circulation, tides and waves, coastal wave-current interactions, coastal and riverine sediment transport processes, nutrient and plankton dynamics, and other complex natural and artificial phenomena.  Study areas include oceans, natural lakes and mine pit lakes, coastal estuaries, tidal rivers, and wetlands.  Our clients include managers of water supplies, wastewater treatment plants, ports and harbours, mining, utilities, the petroleum industry, and government agencies.

The primary analytical tool for oceanographic and limnological studies is our proprietary three-dimensional circulation model, H3D, but where appropriate, other commercial and public domain modelling systems are used.  Our advanced abilities in computer imaging provide clients with powerful graphics and animations to showcase their projects.
